The Broken Spoke is a living legend - Austin's last true Texas dancehall, operating since 1964. Saturday nights feature live country bands on the original stage where Willie Nelson, George Strait, and countless legends have played. Two-step lessons at 8pm with Terri White ($10 plus cover — arrive by 7:30pm to sign up) help beginners get started. The worn wooden dance floor, Christmas lights, and authentic atmosphere make this a must-visit for anyone interested in Texas dance culture.
