The Fed is THE place for swing dancing in Austin! Hosted by Austin Swing Syndicate since the 1990s, this Thursday night tradition draws 100+ dancers weekly. The historic Texas Federation of Women's Clubs building features a gorgeous wood floor and elegant atmosphere. Beginner lesson at 7pm, intermediate at 8pm, then open dancing until midnight. Lindy Hop, East Coast Swing, and some West Coast Swing. DJ'd music with occasional live bands. Members pay $5, non-members $8. Live band nights are $15-20.
